Well-Behaved Women Rarely Make History
A Talk Celebrating the Lives of Remarkable Women from Staffordshire's Past
with Jenna Goodwin – The Red Haired Stokie
📍 Foxlowe Arts Centre, Leek
🗓️ Wednesday 11th June 2025
🕖 7pm – 9pm
Bar open from 6.30pm until 10pm, so feel free to come early or stay after and chat.
I’m thrilled to invite you to a brand new talk where I’ll be shining a spotlight on the bold, brilliant, and rebellious women of Staffordshire who challenged the status quo and helped shape our local history.
From pottery workers and pioneers to reformers and unsung heroines – this is a celebration of the women who made a difference, whether or not the history books remembered them.
It’s all happening in the historic Foxlowe Arts Centre, a Georgian gem in the heart of Leek. The bar will be open, and I’ll be bringing the snacks too – sausage rolls, pork pies, and veggie/vegan options to keep you going while we journey through some incredible stories.
